National Student Wine Competition

The Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society (RA&HS) established this annual competition a dedicated platform to recognise and celebrate the talents of students and the educational institutions, both secondary and tertiary, engaged in wine production across Australia.

Established as a section of the prestigious Royal Adelaide Wine Show, this competition aims to elevate the profile of viticulture and winemaking within educational settings, while promoting these fields as viable and rewarding career paths.

The competition offers students the invaluable opportunity to have their wines—and wine labels—judged by an expert panel from the Royal Adelaide Wine Show. This process not only provides a real-world insight into industry standards but also delivers constructive, independent feedback to help students refine their craft and evolve their winemaking skills.

By fostering excellence, innovation, and education, the National Student Wine Competition plays a vital role in shaping the next generation of Australia’s wine industry leaders.
